Wondering what this is

I was out learning my "new" 105mm micro manual focus lens when this guy shows up. I go from low iso, F11, Tripod, and remote shutter release to High iso( it was late in the day), F 2.8, hand held but still, of course, manual focus. About one in three were somewhat in focus. I have never seen such a critter.

they actually come in a variety of beautiful colors. I've seen two different type in my lifetime. if you stand close to them, their wings make a fun fluttery sound. really cool
