Wood Duck Pair - Nikon D7100

Nikon D7100, Nikon 400mm f2.8 AFS-1 with TC-17E

This was a test to see what the D7100 can do with a subject that some might consider to be "way over there". I did not have my range finder with me, but I estimate this to be 150-200 yards away. A pair of Wood Ducks, on a nice perch, a tree top.

I think there is some merit to a 24mp DX body.

Bill, I remember this very well, it was a first for me seeing wood ducks in the trees. You did a terrific job of capturing the activities we witnessed that day.
