Wood Stork

    Well I did get just a couple keepers yesterday. Cought this one on the way into the Viera Wetlands. All by himself in a tiny pond.

    Not to many yeaterday.. That was about the end of much light for me. Got there to late. To many clouds and grey etc from the approaching storm.

    Just as you pass the water plant on the left around by the end of the building.
    I had just gotten the camera out. Saw two bunnies and stopped car hoping one would be still. They ran back in where they keep the tractors. Saw this guy out the corner of my eye and backed up a bit.

    Lots of water this year as you know. Water standing everywhere.
     
  6. cool shot Gale. I have not warmed up to the looks of these guys yet, but they sure are and interesting bird. is this the same species? I am not sure what he uses on his hair but sure seems proud of it!

    Hey Dave, this one is not quite as ugly as the rest lolol

    Kinda prehistoric looking for sure. Rather ruddy lookin.

    He was standing there looking so proud. lol

    Nice one Gale. Did you get any shots of the wood stork eating a fish by the exit at the wetlands on Saturday?

    Thats where I got this guy. You mean he was still there.

    I have never seen them catch or eat anything.

    Thought they lived on ungliness. lolol
