Woodchuck?

Found this critter at the Blackwater wildlife refuge. Not sure if it is a woodchuck or beaver (or something else).

The real question is how much wood can a woodchuck chuck?:smile:

Looks like a woodchuck to me. I like its colorful coat. Very nice shot.

I wonder if they bite... I also like the way they hold their hands.

I watched his cousin eat out of people's hands in Yellowstone - he was incredibly gentle.

nice! My guy was calmly staring for a while, but as I got closer he quietly retreated into his burrow. I've noticed that critters at famous national parks (Yosemite, Yellowstone etc.) are much braver around people. (probably got used to people feeding them, against park rules! :wink:)
