I went to the World Bird Sanctuary off Exit 272 on interstate 44 this morning. I used my 400 f2.8 to blur out the background. There were a lot of birds brought to sit. Apparently raptors spend most of their time sitting out in tree tops. So for their physical, and psychological health the bring the birds out to tethered perches. If and when the birds ever recover enough to released they are returned to the wild. There is a bird hospital on the premises. It was a great place since there are no crowds, at least early and during the week. Here is an eagle that I shot this morning.

  2. Very nice shot! Great isolation, I love how my attention is drawn straight at the eyes then head.

    What lens was this?
