This appears to be a specimen of the camera marketed by Daguerre, a Paris artist, who experimented with various processes that led to the invention of photography, in 1839, as we know it today. There are only about a dozen or so complete cameras of his in existance I think and I expect this will easily fetch $2M or more. Authentic replicas even fetch major dollars.
