Wu Shu - Martial Arts (8 Shots)

Discussion in 'Photojournalism, Candids and Street Photography' started by JustinD, May 26, 2007.

  1. Strangely there weren't any Chinese martial arts being practiced when I went to Beijing University to shoot some fists of fury and "Li Hai Shou" (fierce hand)...only Korean Taekwondo and a Japanese style of Karate.

Man am I disappointed Justin. I practised Wu Shu for several years in competition ( I actually was vice champion of France for some years  ) and was hoping to see some kung fu shots ... but tae kwon do ...

    Good shots nevertheless
  3. Justin.......... a very cool series my friend......... but........... #5, #6 and #8 stand out for me........ B/W works very well here and conveys the tension of the training exceptionally well.......... serves well to isolate the subjects and conveys the concentration levels they are maintaining to practice their art!
