WV 150th B-Day Fireworks

West Virginia celebrated it's 150th year as a state this past weekend with 3 nights of fireworks and other events at the State Capitol. This was the first time I have attempted to photograph fireworks and there was some trial and error involved. Here are a few shots that came out ok. I hope you enjoy.

I agree, these are way more than just OK. Care to share your shooting setup and settings?

Thanks very much. If you click on each image, the Flickr page will open up and you will see "Additional info" link; click on that and the basic settings will come up. I varied the settings throughout the night experimenting. Between 1-2 secs seemed to work ok. I had to add some fill light in post for most of them to bring out the trees up front. The hardest part was trying to get a good spot to set up. I showed 2 hours prior and there were already a lot of people in the area I was at.
