If you want to see a fast turtle, check out this little guy:

(sorry, it's a old picture with my first digital camera -- a Vivatar something or other)

He was slowly making his way across the greenway in Madison, Alabama and there was a big group walking dogs that were coming, so after I took his (or her) picture, I thought I'd hurry him along. I wasn't about to pick him up (smart move on my part), so I took a twig and was going to prod his tail. When the stick approached his backside, he jumped about 8" in the air (he was only about 6" long), spun 180 degrees, and snapped at the stick with a sound like a clothespin being snapped.

After that, I figured he could take care of himself...
  9. Dawg,

Gotta appreciate, you'd never get away with putting this Xrated stuff on dpr. :D
  10. The picture is great. But sometimes the comments are just too much. My eyes (instead of my ears) probably have to be shut some times.
