Yawning Cattle Egret

A relatively unusual visitor to my area but climate change is bringing more different birds. This Cattle Egret has been a fairly regular visitor in the last year, along with up to five others. He was really chilled this time, looked to be tired and took to lying down on his front on the grass, I have never seen Egrets do that before.

I always like seeing these birds. Nice sharp capture. I wonder, if you saturated the bird a bit too much in pp or whether your cattle egrets are more saturated than the ones we have here in the eastern U.S.

Thanks Allan, the bird is in its breeding colours at the moment, they are much lighter in colour outside of the breeding season. :)
