Hi folks,

I've made it on Saturday at neigbors pond!
After watching a big dragonfly in our hedge I hurried into the house to get the camera. 105 was still mounted. When I returned I only see the dragon vanishing over the roof.
At that moment our neigbors returned from walking the dog and I ask for permision to enter their lot. "No problem ... if you take pictures of our dog one day ..."
I sat down at the pond and watched ...
And then I saw them!

The blue ones are "Hufeisen Azurjungfern" - Horseshoe azur damselflies
The red ones are "Frühe Adonislibelle" - Early Adonis damselflies

I can see the absolute intense effort here. these are great!

you got some great composition as well as really sharp images.

Nice job by you "seeing" and using your camera!

Hi folks,

thank you for the compliments.
It really makes me proud...

Congrats, Klaus! I can't get one of these, and you've got three in a shot! That was a good day!

Dossy, as far as I remember there are dragons in Florida too.
When I went to the pond I didn't expected to take such pictures.

When they are in flight, even 1/8000s is not fast enough, but when they sit down or hover it's easy to take a picture. And mostly they came back to the same spot.

I sat at the pond watching them, to realize where they go after each flight and one surprised me by sitting on top of my lens  before I made one pic.
