    Very tricky to focus on an animal hiding like that!
    To me it looks like the focus is to shallow...
    its a nice composition!
  4. I was set up to make photos of birds in a swamp and had the camera in shutter priority at 250 and auto focus. f/8 was what the camera selected. The Cuckoo landed above and behind me. I quickly swung the camera around and was only able to get off one shot before it went back to heavy cover. I was lucky and surprised with what I got, but you are correct that it could have been better.

    Focus on the beak and head and eye are sharp here

    An elusive species and you at least have an image of it! Looks pretty good for a grab shot.
