Yellow-crowned Night Heron with Prey - S.W Florida

This one from few weeks ago. This guy allowed us to watch him eat his breakfast. Within 2 minutes, the crab was gone..... Completely gone!

Very elegant and clean image. Is that a hint of morning color on the water in the background? I notice you used a slightly higher ISO and much higher shutter speed than on many of the images you've posted.

The main reason for the higher ISO and shutter speed was to stop the bird shaking and cracking the crab to pieces. Never happened but I sure was ready.
