A Yellow-Eyed Penguin returns to nest site at Curio Bay in the Catlins on New Zealand's south east coast. Here the penguin is crossing 170 million year old petrified Jurassic forest. This is my first picture posted here so I hope the size is not too big.

Hoiho is the Maori name which means noise maker. All and any comments and/or critiques welcome.

Shot with my D200, 70-200 F2.8 VR with 1.7 converter. original.

Thanks Phil, I like your headgear. Silver tin foil works just as well at keeping out the cosmic rays.

    Regards John
