Yellow Lady's Slippers

  1. My wife is very enamored of the rare and elusive Yellow Lady's Slipper. We very rarely see them around here. She knew one spot to find them a few years ago, but it was bulldozed for a landfill.

    Imagine my surprise as I made my way along Big Stony Creek in Giles County while trout fishing and stumbled on these:

    Wonderful find, I always thought these plants are native in Asia (VietNam and Thailand) and only grow indoor or green house in US.
