First time out with my camera in a few weeks and I see this fellow across the street from my house.

A technically perfect and fabulous shot. Wonderful color, composition and sharpness. Blow this one up and hang it on a wall. - Jeff

Thank you Buckeye, the 300 f/4 AFS is indeed a sharp one!

    Thanks Tom...how is the 400 f/2.8?

I think I may do just that Jeff...I have some 36" wide photo paper in my HP 800 here at the office just waiting for an image.

    Thank you Fritz!

Thanks Senna, glad to be back...been having a time trying to keep my new grass from browning out.

Love the light and detail in this one.
    Nice photo.
I haven't seen one swallowtail in our yard yet.
Maybe when the butterfly bush starts to bloom?

  16. Beautiful photo!! Still waiting for my first swallow tail to visit. I have a beautiful butterfly and humming bird garden in full bloom. I hope they get here soon!!

  17. Very nice! I love the lighting through the wings and on the thistle. And hey, we all gotta garden to get these kind of lovely shots!

  18. Very good! Love the back light.

    Cheers
