Sorry, to bother you on this however I did not have a good day yesterday.

I've never before have this happen before in my entire life on a lens purchase and I’m in my 50's.

Maybe I need Arnold Schwartzeeggar to pay me a visit, we'll see.

Someone at the factory screwed on the protective cap on the body end of the lens so tight that in no way and no manner will it unscrew off so I can mount the lens to the body and test the lens!

I don't want to risk forcing it off and breaking something as
plastic is not strong.

A kitchen rubber/slick surface gripper/tuner will not budge it and instead that effort impressed deep dents in my hands.

So right now I'm stuck.

Please bear with my embarrassment & chagrin.

Any solutions?

Thanks in advance for your collective patience.

Solved!

Expansion/contraction issue:

Since I don't have a hairdryer to apply a little hot air, I put it in the freezer for 9 minutes.

Works like a charm.

Credit is due to someone who suggested both those options to me.

Lens appears to be ok.

Note: Prior to that it wouldn't budge counterclockwise or clockwise.
