We got a ton of rain in a very short time late yesterday afternoon. If left really low light & wet birds.

Not sure, but I think this may be a Least Flycatcher which would be a first.

Nice shots. Merlin says Alder Flycatcher which is rare. It's definitely a flycatcher though.
Thanks Rick.

Funny thing. When I checked Merlin on the original image, it came back as Least FC. Now, when I check this posted image it comes back with Alder FC. Either way, it's a 1st for me and @ my house.

I think he's been hanging around for the last week or so in an adjacent (large) Vitex. Last night was the 1st change to capture him "in the open".

Very nice pictures.
Shooting in rain is challenging and you master that.
Well done.🙂
Thanks Boblou.

As long as the wind is from the south or east, which it typically is in our area, I can stand under my backdoor awning and shoot in the rain and stay reasonably dry. ;-)

I really enjoy shooting from the vehicle, in the rain.
