Over the last 3 months I sold my

    Nikkor 70-300VR
    Nikkor 18-55
    Nikkor 24 2.8
    Sigma 17-70
    Sigma 70-300
    Tokina 70-200
    Tamron 28-75

After I part with my Nikkor 50 1.8 the only lens I'll have in the bag will be my 24-120 VR. The slate will be clean. No more buying around old lenses I already owned from the film days. I'll probably get 2 or maybe 3 2.8 zooms to cover up to 200mm and that's it. Sure will save a bunch of room in my office

    I'd go for the "trinity":
    17-35mm f/2.8
    28-70mm f/2.8 and
    70-200mm f/2.8 VR

Which is pretty much what I want to do :Waldo:

why sell the 50 1.8? if anything it makes a classy paper weight and if u ever find yourself ina low light pinch u just might be glad u still have it...;-)

I honestly don't use it that much. Every now and then I'll put it on and walk around with it but it's just not a lens I used very often. But, there was a reason it's the last lens to go... it's a great lens.
