All images (above) shot with 300 f2.8
The ones showing the full body were taken with a 1.7x TC attached. When the bear decided to come within just a few metres, I had to scramble to remove the TC.
    Exciting few minutes.

    Thank you for looking.
    Best regards.
  2. These are great shots Gilles but they seem a bit flat in color. This could be my uncalibrated monitor here at work so ignore if I'm talking nonsense
  3. These are EXCELLENT SHOTS, but I agree.
Do you think maybe saturating in PP would help that?

I am not sure, but other than that, they are excellent shots!

And you wilderness photographers are brave.
I don't want to be within TWO MILES of a grizzly that isn't behind an enclosure of sorts.
    Beautiful creatures, but dangerous.
  4. Wow Gilles, awesome!
I have shot some berry eating bears in Alberta - BLACK bears that is, I wouldn't get that close to a Grizzly
  5. these are fantastic!

Very nice series. All of your shots are great but I like the "looking around" shot the most.

Great series. I must have been an exciting experience. Pretty landscape too.
  11. I noticed you are in Alberta. Where did you take these great shots.

    Hello Paul
These were taken in Kananaskis Country near the Highwood Pass.
  13. WOW! Beautiful captures! That scenic is stunning!
