I still have not seen many photos from this camera. I am greatly interested in buying one, however, I have not seem much action from anyone. I have not seen any best of photos of the D700, and I think we should start one.

Does not have to be High ISO, and no bashing of any type, especially banding. Let's just see what this camera has to offer!!!!

So please, post what ever you have. Several people, including myself are dying to see what beautiful images the Cafe has produced with this new FX camera!!!

Hey Sonya those pictures look great, what lens or lenses did you use to take those shots? There is so much detail and sharpness, they look fantastic! Thank you for sharing : )

  9. I used the 50mm 1.4 @ f/2.8. I think it's my new favorite indoor lens......

  10. Amen sista!! I did not like the 50mm length on the D200. But funny, I can hardly get the silly thing off my D3!

I can't wait to see what you do with this combo, I know we're in for a treat.

Very cool, man it is making it harder and harder not to just blow out the credit card right now : )

    I can't wait to use my 50 1.4 and 85 / 1.8 on a D700, and my newly acquired 24-70 f/2.8...... I got the lenses, now I just need the Camera : )

  13. Evening Reflections

I don't know if this is one of my best D700 shots, but it was one of my more challenging ones.

    I used the 24-70mm f/2.8 at 2.8, 70mms. and ISO 2800.
I combined two shots, one color and one in black and white.
The color conversion was done with nik Silver Efex Pro.

The reverberations between the inside and out combined with multiple reflections add interest to the photo while still defining the subject.
There was no noise reduction on either shot.
Viveza was used in post processing the shot.

    My son...

and his "blankey" that he's had since birth. I'm sure this does nothing for anyone else, but it's pretty special to me. What I really like (and hence the reason I'm posting on this thread) is the skin tones. I think they're really good and they were easily achieved with this camera.

    original.

Thanks for sharing beaucamera, I really do like the b n w picture a lot. One can clearly tell it what is going on but it is still very interesting with the reflections.

Yes I agree, the skin tones look wonderful. Plus it is very sharp, thank you for sharing!

What else does the Cafe care to share with us ???

  16. A bit of colour from today.

I got to try out a Tamron 200-500mm that came in today at my local camera shop.

This is th first shot I git with it(also the first time I have ever seen a Waxwing live and up close).

    D700 500mm f/6.3 ISO 1600 Hand Held.

After getting this and some other decent shots I decided to buy the lens.
