Been busy for a few weeks so this isn't exactly yesterday's shooting, but thought I'd try a different theme for posting this time around... instead I'm posting up some of the snow spray, crashes, checks, and frozen pucks.

Minor PeeWees this time (11 years old) from a tournament about 3 weeks ago.

Typically I tend to post up the usual isolation shots that parents tend to like, similar to this:

or one-on-one action like this:

But while these images might not always sell, or even be as crisp, here's a look at some different action:

1 - Spraying your own goalie:

2 - Spraying as you crash into the boards:

3 - Spray flying as you take the shot - I liked it despite being the backshot:

4 - Crashing into the boards after the hit:

5 - Getting the stick up on the hit:

6 - Good open ice crunch:

7 - Good rub against the boards:

Some goalies for Tim...

8 - Puck frozen in mid-air, goalie focussed:

9 - Great blocker save:

10 - Good focus:

11 - Again:

And a couple more:

Wow, DJ. Ca-lear! Sha-arp! Do a detect a hint of NN on a few? I'm impressed, but no D3s tease shots? What good is an early Christmas present if you can't flaunt it?

I'm digging #3 with ya man, and love #8 and 9. I think I like goalie shots because they give you some additional color....

JoeJoe, thanks for checking 'em out.

Tim, thanks for the look mister. No NR at all on these, set to low in-cam. I hear ya, I hear ya... I finally got a game booked to give the D3S a try. Driving out of town to shoot a local team next week, that's how desperate I am. Gonna start at ISO12800 too, just for fun. Hopefully have a few posted up by next weekend but we'll see how much time I have over Christmas.

These are definitely different than what I usually post up but just felt like posting up something other than the isolation shots this time round. Cheers guys!

You must be confusing MY luck with Mikey Mac's !!!

But I have shot at this barn before, and if I recall correctly, I can get around 1/500th at ISO3200 and f3.2. Now go two stops more on the ISO and let the games begin!! WOOT!
