I like the Z7 a lot with the 2 native lines I have.

However, I did not like it this morning when I used with with the 800 lens with a tc. The body was too small for quickly making changes. Also, there is no way to lock the location of the focus point and I kept accidently hitting the change location button and having it move all over the place. One more thing, I could not easily use back button focus with gloves on - perhaps a function of the small body.

when I finally get a Z it will be for Z glass only
when the lens is that big the body size no longer matters
The body size does matter. The backfocus body (for focus) and the subselector for selecting focus point location are too close to each other.

Good for you - small hands and warmer temps (in Idaho????) ;)
As long as I remember to use gloves with the tripod, I'm usually OK. More sensitive now that I am at the doorstep of 70, than I used to be in my invincible years. I do have a thin pair of synthetic liners that I use, or a pair of fingerless gloves.
