I was impressed by how fast my Z6 was in and out of the shop for warranty repair. Also, I was pleasantly surprised by how much work they did beyond what I asked. It went in for a stubborn power switch (which was replaced and works fine now). Although I had specified nothing else, they also replaced the grip material, the battery and card slot doors, and did the other standard stuff for a service, such as sensor cleaning, AF functional check, etc. All was accomplished in less than a week, including shipping transit time, and with the Thanksgiving weekend in the midst. I suspect many others have a Z body that might be coming up on the end of the warranty. I highly recommend sending it in for something just to get a nice refresh - for no cost.

Nikon has always fixed what needs to be done to bring the camera to proper condition. But that is part of the price you pay.
I am glad to see this to be the case. This was my first warranty repair with Nikon in a very long time. I suppose the reliability I've enjoyed over the years is another benefit of the price we pay.

Being in the eastern U.S., Melville is the only shop I have used. I've been bothered by slow response and very poor communication.
I sent something in to them two years ago and had that experience. This time, I was pleasantly surprised by the quick turn time.
