This is exactly a kind of situation one should use a tripod --- not for the purpose of preventing a camera shake, but to focus accurately. Again, I was lazy and just hand-held the camera, but blasted 9 fps to get the right focus. My body was moving as I was holding my breath, but I got one or two good focus out of many.... I immediately deleted all the bad ones from my precious disk space. Photo Data: Nikon Z7 + FTZ adapter + AF-S MicroNikkor 60mm f/2.8 at f/8, 1/500 sec, Auto ISO 80, JPEG fine*. Manual focus.
