During my recent trip to Istanbul, my dslr kit was d300 + zeiss 35/2 and nikkor 50/1.4.

The zeiss was superb handling everything i threw at it:

nice, but flowers or plants to left would have been nice instead of a sales poster. :) Next time move model. ;)

the more I read about this lens and see samples from it, the more interested I get. Here's my question... I noticed its a 'manual focus' lens. Does the D300 control the focusing in this lens like it does on a Nikon 50 1.4 or is a fuuuullly manual lens where I have to do all the work? lol

it is a manual focus lens, and use of the focus indicator on the camera body
works well most of the time.

it is a fully manual lens, however it does meter on the d300 and you can
set the parameters for a non-cpu lens in the d300.

I like the shot of her, just that stuff to left is distracting and rather unattractive, compared to her, who is nice and attractive looking. :)
