    Hello everyone,

I am wondering if any of you have tried this lens. Based on the review from Photozone it seems like it could be a great lens.

Hopefully some of you have tried this in the field and can provide some feedback.

    Thanks,

    Dave

Nope. Don't have it. I have to wonder though, about this ZF line - why did Zeiss duplicate Nikon's lenses, focal length AND aperture?

The Nikkor 35mm f2 is one of the best lenses, Why waist money on Zeiss?

Because it's optically better? The Nikkor is good but not perfect.

At least they know their stuff. 150 years in optics. I only used their microscopy. I would say that macro capability was great.

From the links it looks like it has very nice colour reproduction but that could've easily be changed in PS!

Could be, but the color on the Zeiss lenses are said to be excellent and it shows with all test shots I have seen.

    Here is another link.
