Anyone have experience with anyone of these? How do they perform for you
on digital as compared to the equivalent Nikkors.

I am thinking of pursuing my long forgotten skills ( however small ) of my
    younger days with manual lenses.

Brings back memories to me of times when my simple camera and lens was
to be cherished and passed on to the next generation.

    Thanks.

There was a [thread=117135]thread about this[/thread] a couple weeks back. Also someone posted some [thread=118210]sample shots[/thread] from the beautiful Zeiss 35mm f/2.

To sum it up, the Zeiss lenses have a special optical characteristic you wont find in Nikkor lenses, which I think is mainly down to the extremely smooth bokeh.

Thanks a lot for responding Weiran. I saw the thread you mention. I was
thinking of getting the 35/2 and the 25.

    take care.

I'd be very tempted to get the 35 if I shot using manual Nikon SLRs, I prefer full auto on my DSLR though.

Lens lust and memories of gentler times are the only motives.

    best.
