Good news, I'd hoped they hadn't sacrificed DR for better high ISO as rumor with the D5.

Worth the wait - I can't imagine being anything but thrilled by the D500 - the viewfinder, high res screen and AF are all obviously better even on first use. Other things like buffer, frame rate, etc. will prove out over time. Feels a lot like my D810 (a very good thing). My only concern was less DR (as claimed for the D5), but both this review and my own limited use indicate otherwise. Whoopee.
