Hi all,

We went to Cheratte (small place in belgium) to visit an old abandoned mine.
Here's an impression of what we found.

Thanks gale for watching.
Yep that 85 1.4 creates a fantastic dof. I love that lens.

alex,

Great images. I love the photojournalism effect. Sad to see such a beautiful building waste away as it is. As to you lenses. I have the 50mm f/1.4 and have found that you must get to f/4 for the best sharpness. As for the 85mm f/1.4, it is great all the way through.

I don't know what it is with that 50 mm lens. I prefer the 85 mm. It's such a great lens and i love the DOF wich it can produce.

Hi kevin,

Thanks for taking the time to comment.
It was a very nice and inspiring place to visit. So much details to see. I will go back there for sure.
My first impression with the d2x were soso, but after some ps work and the room for cropping i must say wow.
I think it wil take some time to get used to that "machine"
