SB-800 and D200 Problems Part II

A while ago i posted that my banding reapired D200 wouldnt work with my SB-800 but the SB-800 would work with my D2hs.

After sending my D200 back and finding no fault they asked me to send my SB-800, they have done some sort of reset that the user cant do and i am pleased to say its working just fine.

Thanks to those people that mentioned a user reset, but it looks like Nikon have another way of reseting the SB-800.

Either way its fixed and my system is all back together and working nicely!

While that's great news, the question begs to be asked, just how did things get messed up to begin with and why isn't there a user reset? Maybe I'm just over sensative since my first D100 was stolen in shipping when it was sent in for the firmware upgrade only Nikon could do.
