Nice shot Harry. Love the detail the 35mm producesI use the D5100 as a lightweight go-everywhere camera to supplement my D7000 and D300. Along with a 35mm, the 18-105VR, the 70-300 VR, a set of closup lenses for the 35mm, and a it makes a lightweight kit that can shoot almost anything.
It was with me on the day this car pulled into the parking space next to me in Northampton, MA. Voila!

It is an amazing little camera that can do anything (almost) that the big guys can do, albeit in a maybe just a bit more time-consuming manner.
Hey Jeff you are lucky to get anything in focus after a few swigs of this!!Preferred drink of the night

This is going to sound terrible to all of you guys/girls who use the D5100. I've had this camera, which I bought new several months ago (it was on clearance), has been sitting in the closet unopened!!! I just spent the last half hour looking at images and it's time to start using it!
Yum!Yes, yes it is. The D5100 was my first DSLR. We had lots of fun together, and now my older son is having a blast using it. I should probably break this up into a few posts. The D5100 can do food:
