Mike: nice T, what type?

Yep, I love this camera, its a perfect match with the D7000. I keep the 12-24 on D7K and the 80-200 2r on the D7100 for serious walk-a-rounds and the images are stunning. I'm through buying bodies for a while. Love the 1.3 crop with my longer lenses. Here's one ISO 6400, f6.3, @ 125th using the 1.3 crop mode on a 24-85 D @ 85mm (170mm) focus point on eye at 1:2 macro close focus.

No VR on this lens but so far I'm really liking it on the D7100.

Were you driving and stuck in traffic while you took this? Or were you just a passenger?

Driving ... not moving, with cam out the window.

Where is this? St. Joseph in Montreal?

I know the one you mean, but this is the British Columbia parliament buildings in Victoria BC.

What a cool looking dude! GREAT shot! I just love the details that people are getting with macros. I have to go somewhere to photograph animals up close. We don't have any place like that in Bellingham.

When I was at my photography workshop last weekend, we were taking a break after shooting the morning sunrise from the Deception Pass Bridge, WA.

I took this color photo and then with the software in the camera converted it to sepia. I was very surprised at what the camera could do!

Took this on my recent trip to Kenya. It was taken with the excellent D7100, 1/1000 @f4.8, iso 400. I was using my 70-200 f2.8 with the Nikon 1.7 II TC. I have many shots like this using this combination. I was very pleased with how it performed on my holiday and found the reach (510mm on the aps-c sensor) adequate for 95% of the shots I took.

Nice shot Ian! Which camera do you use more your d7100 or your d600?

On our Kenyan holiday the vast majority of shots were taken with the D7100/70-200/1.7tc combination. I only took 1 other lens, a 50mm f1.8 D prime which spent most of it's time on my D600 in the hands of my wife who's job it was to get the real close up shots which I couldn't get with the D7100.

She took this on our way back from the afternoon game drive. I've just lifted the shadows to introduce some foreground detail and sharpened it slightly in LR4. I think she may have 'photographers eye' !!

Ian, letting your wife get closeup shots of a Lion with a 50mm lens you could ruin that D600, shame on you:biggrin:. Your wife does take a super picture (if you are still married).

Yes, I did. Winning the scholarship helped too!

And I agree on your comment to Ian. I was thinking the same thing. That is one set of teeth! YIKES!!! Super capture!!
