Nevertheless, an excellent picture. I love powerful water scenes and this is certainly a nice one.

Here a wave has hit the sea wall and has rebounded back off it, and collided with another wave coming in again. I thought this was a better spectacle than the waves just crashing over the wall as there is more detail. Had to climb over the rocks to get a better angle, but still safe.

Now pictures of mountains, none around here !

7100 back from service. Some issues Fixed, still front focuses severely with any TC and the 600VR...so none of these are with that combination. Camera body, 600 and a couple of TC's headed to Nikon tomorrow.
Pre Dawn ~ 3' waves, 2 minute exposure with a 7stop ND and IR cut filter ~

Hmmm, obviously from this thread:
1. D7100 quality is far below par
2. D7100 cannot focus for beans
3. D7100 can't (oh, heck, I am too lazy to think up more)

Have I covered all the bases yet?

Too bad you all told me what camera you used. If not I would have said:

"Gee, these are all REALLY nice photos"

I had my first D7100 body replaced by my dealer. At Nikon service 3 times and the focus issue was never corrected in any way shape or form.

An 8 month newer body made all of the difference in the world.

Your experience must have been very frustrating. It is disappointing that Nikon is having these (shutter on D600) issue. One would hope that such a long time player would have better QC in place.

Soccer season is finally underway again up here. One thing I notice with the D7100 is that white soccer uniform highlights aren't blown out in direct sunlight, as were with some older bodies.

I am wondering if anyone uses a D7100 to shoot motorsports? if so how well does the AF track? I have been asked to shoot a drifting event next month
