That's what I figured...Okay, so I have a question for you (perhaps this should go in the amensty thread in the General Discussion...for being a dumb question, LOL.)

...why does that golden glow only happen sometimes? It rarely happens around here. It happened last weekend when I was shooting the cycling race, and I was so excited to see it. Perhaps it's because we so routinely have cloudy skies...
Karen,

I'm not sure why that golden glow happens. I think it has something to do with the direct rays of the sun traveling through more of the Earth's atmosphere as angle of the light drops closer to the horizon.

I love this puppy. The monochromatic treatment is wonderful - his eyes and the texture of the grass really pop. Great DoF Glen. I really really like this.
Thanks Patti

Toothless Grin is adorable! I hope you sold this one. I know what you mean about shooting assignments. A lot of work and few sales. I love your "dog in the grass" pic. Nice treatment.
Thanks Birgit...none of the photos have sold so far. :frown:

None sold yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your pictures should be on every mantle and bookcase in that city...

My granddaughter is a softball player and I'd give anything to have a picture of her like the ones you've presented here.

I went through your whole project and found outstanding photos. The composition is excellent. Here in the Café there are excellent sports, BIF, portrait and landscape photographers. But you seem to excel in all categories. I see great basketball and baseball shots, eagles and egrets, dogs and iguanas, pear tress and seashells. And when it is too cold to go outside you produce art work out of a gas flame and a bathroom drain.

You have the eye for a photo that many here only would dream of. I, for one, would like give an arm and a leg to have just 1/10 of the “seeing” ability that you have.

Another Softball Photo - what an adorable little girl, captured so wonderfully.

How are you advertising yourself with the parents? I do best when I hand out business cards with my email and an url to wherever I will upload the photos for viewing. Since I do not want to upload straight from the camera, I do PP first. That takes a lot of my time and it is annoying when I get no takers. I find that a lot of people are interested in the most difficult looking action shots - wow look at what my kid (dog) can do!
