...why does that golden glow only happen sometimes? It rarely happens around here. It happened last weekend when I was shooting the cycling race, and I was so excited to see it. Perhaps it's because we so routinely have cloudy skies...
I'm not sure why that golden glow happens. I think it has something to do with the direct rays of the sun traveling through more of the Earth's atmosphere as angle of the light drops closer to the horizon.
